NJPW STRONG Results (10/9) STRONG Openweight Title Match, Jay White Sends A Message, More

New Japan Pro Wrestling presented another episode of NJPW STRONG on Saturday. The first episode featuring the recent tapings in Garland, TX, the show had three legitimate main events.

Minoru Suzuki got a dominant win over Fred Rosser in the opening contest. Another match that shows more of Rosser’s hard-hitting style that he never got to display in WWE. Suzuki dropped him with the Piledriver.

In the second match, Young Lion Ren Narita put up a truly spectacular fight against STRONG Openweight Champion Tom Lawlor. After 20-minutes of stiff pro-wrestling, Lawlor tapped Narita and successfully defended the title for the 5th time since winning it in April.

The main event saw NEVER Openweight Champion Jay White get the win over IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion Robbie Eagles in a Champion vs. Champion contest. The Jr. Champion put up a good fight, but was no match for his former-Bullet Club stablemate.

After the match, Jay White called out folks like EVIL and Tama Tonga, who’ve been suggesting that the Bullet Club frontman has been distracted. White made sure to remind people who runs Bullet Club
