Tony D’Angelo has a family with a lot of business to handle, but WWE’s resident “goomba” handled business in the wrestling ring tonight.
After weeks of vignettes, D’Angelo made his in-ring debut on the 10/5 episode of WWE NXT 2.0 and received a very positive reaction from the fans at the Capitol Wrestling Center. Beth Phoenix talked up D’Angelo’s “family business” while he took on Malik Blade in singles action. D’Angelo showed his innate knack for amateur wrestling as he kept Blade down on the canvas.
The popular newcomer, who wrestled in velour track pants and and tank top, exuded his wise guy” demeanor throughout the match as he and Blade battled back and forth. D’Angelo ultimately picked up the victory when he hit Blade with Perry Saturn’s three-handed moss covered credenza. “Tony” chants rang throughout the arena from bell to bell, as the crowd was all in for the new star.

Later on in the evening, D’Angelo approached Lash Legend in an effort to appear on her “Lashing Out” show next week. He told her to think about it because he’d draw more eyeballs to the show. Legend said she would think about the proposal before she noted how much she loved him in the new Sopranos prequel, The Many Saints Of Newark.
