We could be in for a very interesting segment at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam if Max Caster gets his wish.
AEW star Max Caster has challenged company President Tony Khan to a rap battle at this Wednesday’s show, noting that if Khan didn’t care for his lyrics, he’d challenge him to step up to the mic and do better.
“IN CASE YOU MISSED IT Here’s my Fire freestyle from #AEW in Newark, NJ Our boss Tony Khan didn’t really like my rhymes. Well, maybe he can do better… I challenge @TonyKhan to a RAP BATTLE in Queens, NY at #AEWGrandSlam #MaxVsTony,” Caster wrote.
Caster’s comment about Khan not liking his rhymes was a reference to Tony’s August 4 appearance on Busted Open Radio. Khan called the rap, which referenced Simone Biles’ mental health and the Duke lacrosse scandal, “terrible” and said it shouldn’t have aired.
Caster’s controversial rap that got him in hot water originally aired on the August 3 episode of AEW Dark, but it was later edited out of the broadcast. After being held off of television for nearly a month, Max Caster made his return to AEW TV on the September 1 Dark taping in Chicago. Now that he’s been back for a few weeks, Caster has now challenged Tony Khan himself to a battle.
It remains to be seen if Khan would answer the challenge, but AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam is sure to be a loaded card either way. The full card for Wednesday’s show can be found below:
