Eddie Kingston wants to make his return home special with some notable opponents when AEW Dynamite comes to Arthur Ashe Stadium on September 22. JJ Williams of the Wrestling Observer was in attendance for the AEW Dark tapings at Universal Studios in Orlando, FL and noted on social media that Kingston closed the festivities out with a revealing announcement. According to Williams, The Mad King thanked all the fans in attendance for the first set of tapngs before making the major challenge to Minoru Suzuki and Lance Archer for a tag team showdown at the highly anticipated Dynamite in New York City.

If this match were to actually occur, it would join a card that features Cody Rhodes taking on Malakai Black in a grudge match that has Rhodes returning after over a month of being absent. Kingston has been in an embattled feud with Miro over the TNT Championship while his “Wild Thing” buddy in Jon Moxley secured a strong victory against Minoru Suzuki in his hometown stomping grounds of Cincinnati, Ohio. Kingston and Moxley recently tagged with one another in the last set of Dark Elevation tapings that went down in Chicago.
