Vince Russo Says He Recently Collaborated With WWE On A New Project

Vince Russo says he wants to help the wrestling business, and it looks like that involves taking part in a new project for WWE.

Russo worked for WWE from 1992-1999, and again for a brief spell in June 2002 in between his WCW tenure and first stint with TNA Wrestling. It appears as if the working relationship is back on, at least for a one-time project. Russo posted the following on Twitter, revealing that he worked with WWE on a new project on Friday. He did not go into more detail as to what the project pertains to, but said it was a pleasurable experience and believes it may air on Peacock.

“Worked with @WWE this past Friday on a Project I think for Peacock. Pleasurable experience, all involved were pros and respectable. I really do hope that those who need to see my comments—see them. While I don’t want a job, I am always looking to help the Biz in any way I can,” Russo wrote.

WrestleZone reached out to Russo for more details about the project and he said the show is about wrestling ‘villains,’ but did not know any more about the final format of the show.

It’s worth noting that in May, NBC announced a new project called “WWE Evil” featuring John Cena as the creator, producer and narrator. According to the synopsis, the new original series is “an entertaining ‘psychological expose’ into the minds of the most diabolical antagonists in WWE history, and their impact on mainstream culture,” so it would appear that this is the project that Russo was referring to.
