Paul Heyman always has had an eye for talent and a long-time WWE star whom “The Advocate” has considered main event worthy is Cesaro.
Heyman briefly managed Cesaro back in 2014, but in a recent interview with Inside The Ropes, Heyman stated how he’s always viewed Cesaro in that top of the card spotlight.
“I’ve always thought Cesaro was a main event player in WWE. Cesaro was paired with Paul Heyman because Paul Heyman needed an excuse to be on television to say the words, ‘My client, Brock Lesnar, conquered The Undertaker’s undefeated streak at WrestleMania.’ That was an elevation in terms of exposure for Cesaro, but it did him no favours in terms of showcasing his talents.”
Cesaro did happen to get that main event spot against Paul Heyman’s newest client in Roman Reigns at WWE Backlash earlier this year. The Swiss Superman challenged Reigns for the WWE Universal Title, but ultimately took the pinfall to the “Head of The Table.” Cesaro is now currently in a feud with Chad Gable and Otis as he took on the former in singles action this past Friday on SmackDown.
