With Sasha Banks unable to perform at tonight’s SummerSlam, it looked like Carmella would step in for her and take on Bianca Belair. Instead, a legendary champion returned and promptly retook her spot atop the WWE Women’s division.

After it was announced that Banks was unable to perform and Carmella would be her replacement, the superstar came down to the ring, where she and a very reluctant Belair prepared to duke it out. However, in a stunning turn of events, Becky Lynch’s music hit, and The Man made her way down to the ring with the crowd cheering her on.
Inside of the ring, Lynch promptly cleared Carmella out, tossing her out of the ring and then getting out of the ring and throwing her into the stairs before climbing back in to face Belair. Once inside of the ring again, Lynch got on the microphone, and challenged Belair to help her give the fans of SummerSlam a show by putting on a match between the two for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Belair thought about it for a second and accepted, but that’s when things fell apart for her. After the bell rang, Belair went to shake Lynch’s hand, but Lynch quickly took it and pulled Belair into a forearm before quickly hitting the Manhandle on Belair, pinning her and immediately winning the title. A stunned Belair could only watch as Lynch celebrated with her newly won title, ushering in a new title reign for the SmackDown women’s division.
