Ace Austin walked into tonight’s IMPACT Wrestling Emergence with the hopes of getting a shot at the IMPACT World Championship. He did just that by taking down Chris Sabin, Sami Callihan, and Moose in a four-way match.
All four men went at it immediately, but Austin emerged victorious after he took advantage of a beneficial situation. After Callihan hit Moose a chair late in the match, Austin quickly rolled up the former TNA World Heavyweight Champion, getting the victory and shocking both his opponents and the fans in the process.
Shortly after the match, IMPACT Wrestling announced that Austin will be getting his title shot against Christian Cage at IMPACT Wrestling’s Victory Road, which is set to take place on September 18, 2021. With Austin finally having his shot, he’ll look to take the belt from a legendary star in Cage, who just won the championship himself last week on the first episode of AEW Rampage.
