In a shocking moment last night on AEW Dynamite in Houston, MJF tapped out Chris Jericho in the show’s main event. While the crowd overrode MJF’s ban of Jericho’s “Judas” entrance theme by singing it acapella as he came to the ring, the banning of the Judas Effect ultimately cost Jericho the match.
The match itself received universal praise from fans and critics alike, even two-time WWE Hall of Famer “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair took to social media following last night’s match to put over both Jericho and MJF, stating:
“Congrats To @IAmJericho And @The_MJF! Chris, You Made Our Business Better For Everyone Tonight, And You Made Me Proud! This Is What The Great Ones Do! WOOOOO!” Ric Flair said in a tweet.
Earlier this morning, Chris Jericho took to social media to reflect upon last night’s AEW Dynamite main event against MJF:
“While the outcome wasn’t what I wanted, last nights #AEWDynamite was one of the best moments of my career….THANK U HOUSTON! The acapella version of @fozzyrock #Judas was insane! Great story about this to tell some day. As for today, I have some serious soul searching to do,” Chris Jericho tweeted.
What soul searching will Chris Jericho be doing today? And does it involve the former AEW World Champion’s future inside the squared circle? We’ll find out soon enough.
