If Paul Wight‘s new entrance theme song on AEW Dynamite last night sounded strangely familiar to you, there’s a reason for that.
Following Paul Wight’s appearance on AEW Dynamite last night, AEW’s music producer Mikey Rukus took to social media to reveal that Wight’s entrance theme is sung by Joe Altier, the same artist who performed his Big Show theme in WWE.
“A MTHAFKN HUUUUUUUUUUUUGE SHOUT TO @JustJoeSyracuse coming back to add a new chapter in the story of @PaulWight!!! “NEW ROOM, NEW VIEW” #AEWDynamite” Mikey Rukus tweeted.
Joe Altier quote retweeted Rukus to say the cat was out of the bag and that he did, in fact, provide the vocals for Paul Wight’s new AEW entrance theme.
“The cat is out of the BAG!! I got asked the other day to be the voice of @PaulWight (aka Big Show) new song for @AEW. Thank you to all involved and to @MikeyRukus for making magic!” Joe Altier tweeted in response.
Joe Altier, who performs solo music under the name “Just Joe,” is also the lead singer of the band Brand New Sin. The group behind Big Show’s theme song was featured on the WWE album “Wreckless Intent” in 2006.
