Kyle O’Reilly is willing to do anything to put Adam Cole down for good, and he’ll hope to do so at NXT TakeOver 36.
On the August 10 episode of NXT, general manager William Regal asked the two competitors to come to the ring to name two of the stipulations for their two-out-of-three falls match at the pay-per-view. O’Reilly was the first man to choose, and he left it plain and simple: he picked a traditional match where the winner must pin their opponent or make him tap out. In response, Cole laughed at O’Reilly’s predictability and decided to make the second fall a street fight.
Cole began to insult O’Reilly, calling him mentally weak and even stating that he’d never be Adam Cole (bay bay). This disrespect fired “KOR” up enough to attack Cole, leading to a brawl that the army of security guards in the ring had to break up. As the two men were separated, Regal decided that the third and final fall shall be decided in a steel cage bout.
