As of this moment, Lio Rush appears to still be retired, but there’s good news on “The Man Of Hour” front when it comes to his physical health.
The former MLW Middleweight Champion gave fans an update on what he’s been doing for the past three months and notes that he’s been “cleared” after working hard in rehab.
“Every single day for the past 3 months I’ve been in rehab working harder than I ever have before. Happy to announce that today….I’ve been cleared,” Rush Tweeted on August 2.

Rush made a one-time debut at AEW Double Or Nothing during the Casino Battle Royale until it was later made public that he suffered an AC injury during the match. Fans were hyped to potentially see his work further under the All Elite banner, but it wasn’t long before Rush announced his retirement from the squared circle. He did, however, make clear that he’d be finishing up all of his obligated dates he had scheduled with New Japan.
Post-operation, Rush doubled-down on his retirement, stating, “To me, this is my 2nd chance to be the father that I’ve always wanted to be and the husband I’ve always wanted to be,” Rush continued. “I’ve been through a lot in my life. A lot unseen and a lot unheard. I have a story. A unique story and I hope to tell it one day at the right place, at the time time and in the right setting. I love you guys and I will miss you guys so much. Thank you for everything that you’ve done for me and my family.”
We at WrestleZone will keep you posted if there happens to be any changes regarding Rush’s status.
