Plans are always fluid in WWE.
Newly minted SmackDown stars Tegan Nox and Shotzi recently spoke with Metro UK and described how they didn’t know they’d be making their main roster debuts until the day of the show. The duo initially thought they were doing a temporary invasion angle, but they were quickly informed that they were bring called up up to the blue brand.
“We pretty much found out the day of SmackDown, after the match, that we were getting called up,” Nox explained. “We knew we were having a tag match on TV but we didn’t even think we were getting called up until after the match. John Laurinaitis was like, ‘Congratulations, welcome to SmackDown!’ Like, oh – I guess we go here now! I assumed it would be something like when we did the whole invasion angle with NXT attacking SmackDown and Raw. I just assumed it was something like that, maybe happening at SummerSlam. ‘No, you’re on SmackDown now! Oh, ok – thank you!’”
Shotzi would then chime in and shared her thouhts on how the two women received name changes upon their arrival to the main roster. Essentially, she said she has gotten used to the constatnt state of change in WWE.
“I’m just used to the chaos now,” said Shotzi. “Things change all the time, everything happens so quickly so you really have to be ready for anything being a WWE superstar!”
