The next two episodes of WWE NXT, and two new episodes of 205 Live, were taped at the Capitol Wrestling Center on Wednesday night. The results are posted in the order they were taped; NXT will air over the next two weeks on Syfy due to USA Network’s coverage of the Olympics.

– Ridge Holland returned and ran in at the end
Samoa Joe invited William Regal to the ring and resigned as NXT management and asked Regal to sign a contract for a title match. Regal obliged, and Joe left. The Joe vs. Kross match is set for NXT TakeOver 36.
NXT Breakout Tournament
Carmelo Hayes d. Josh Briggs
Raquel Gonzalez issued an open challenge. Dakota Kai turns heel, attacks Raquel and leaves her laying, making it clear she’s after the title.
Kacy Catanzaro & Kayden Carter vs. Franky Monet & Jessi Kamea
– Robert Stone tries to interfere, but it backfired. Franky gets mad and drags Stone to the back
Imperium defeated Hit Row
– Legado del Fantasma distracts Hit Row, allowing Imperium to get the win
Adam Cole defeated Bronson Reed
– Kyle O’Reilly attacks Cole with a chair after the bell and leaves him laying

Indi Hartwell gets a gift from Dexter Lumis. She’s thrilled, The Way isn’t. Johnny Gargano vs. Dexter Lumis gets set up; if Johnny wins, Dexter needs to leave her alone. If Dexter wins, he can date Indi.
Roderick Strong defeated Bobby Fish
Grizzled Young Veterans defeated LA Knight and Cameron Grimes
– Knight walked out on Grimes, who was overwhelmed by the opposition. Ted DiBiase comes to the ring and consoles Grimes and leaves with him.
NXT Breakout Tournament
Trey Baxter defeated Joe Gacy
Hit Row (w/ Swerve) defeated Legado del Fantasma (w/ Escobar) via disqualification
– Escobar used a chair on Hit Row to cause the disqualification, then attacked Swerve Scott with a chair until Hit Row recovered.
Karrion Kross comes out for a promo, but Samoa Joe interrupts. Security stops Joe, then he beats a few of them up but Kross leaves.
(It was noted that Kross ran back out and called out Joe, and Joe choked out some more security guards, but this could have been a retape of the segment.)
Johnny Gargano defeated Dexter Lumis
– Gargano hit ‘One Final Beat’ on the outside of the ring, and a second on the inside. Indi started to leave looking upset, but ran and kissed Lumis and they made out in the ring.
