The Miz is unsure when he’ll be back in a WWE ring, but you can still see him on RAW each week.
The Miz recently spoke with El Brunch de WWE and was asked if there’s a timeline for his return to the ring. Miz still accompanies John Morrison each week, but he still says he doesn’t know when he’ll get cleared for action.
“I don’t know. So right now, I am in physical therapy and working to get to 100% on my knee. I don’t want to be in a match where I’m thinking about my knee, thinking about my injury, if I tweak it, if I go this way… I don’t want to do that because then I’ll be thinking about that rather than what I’m doing and I don’t want to injure any other body part on myself, as well as potentially injure another Superstar. So I’m going to wait and make sure I’m 100% and when I feel that is right and when I feel the doctors feel that’s right,” Miz explained, “that’s when I’ll be back. Is there a timeline? No, I don’t know. I really don’t.”
When his injury was first announced, The Miz said he’d heard the reports that he’d be out for nine months and said he didn’t plan on missing that much time.
“I’ll be out for a little bit of time. I’ve seen that I’ll be out nine months. I don’t plan on being out nine months. I was on TV last Monday and I’m going to be on TV every week,” Miz told Sports Illustrated in June. Miz also told Sports Illustrated at the time that his focus was on physical therapy and just getting back to 100 percent, something he echoed to El Brunch de WWE this week.
“I’m just working on physical therapy,” Miz said, “getting everything back to 100% so I can give the audience exactly what they want.”
