After shocking the WWE Universe last night at Money in the Bank, John Cena arrived on this week’s episode of WWE Monday Night RAW to explain himself and share his motivation for coming back to the world of professional wrestling.
Taking to the mic in the ring, Cena began by praising the live crowd, encouraging them to make some noise and show off how loud they can be. Cena then said that he has missed the WWE Universe. From there,he began to break down the “who, what, where, when, and why” of his return.

As for the “who”, Cena simply said that he was there for the crowd, as he wanted to be back with the WWE Universe. Of course, he also came back for the person he interrupted last night at Money in the Bank, Roman Reigns.

Cena then went on to say that what he’s doing back has to do with the WWE Universal Championship, and Cena made it fairly clear that he intends to take on Reigns WWE’s Summerslam pay-per-view. Finally, the “why” was a simple answer as well, as Cena called Reigns an “assh—“ before saying that he was an “arrogant, self-absorbed, overhyped, overprotected, overexposed gimmick” of a superstar. Cena said that Reigns wasn’t as “over” as he says he is, and that this week on SmackDown, he’ll be there to confront the champion directly.
