WWE SmackDown Taping On September 17 No Longer Taking Place In Atlanta

WWE SmackDown needs a new home for September 17.

According to a statement from the State Farm Arena, the hosting venue of the event, the SmackDown taping has been canceled:

WWE Friday Night Smackdown on September 17th will no longer take place in Atlanta. Refunds are available at all points of purchase.

The public on-sale date for the taping was originally scheduled for Friday morning at 10 am EST, but the State Farm Arena made the cancellation announcement an hour prior to the sale going live. The venue also hosted a pre-sale for the show on Thursday. WWE has not issued any statement on the venue change, and no further details for the change were given by the arena.
