AJ Styles was looking for a big win during tonight’s episode of Monday Night RAW when he took on Matt Riddle in a singles match. Unfortunately for Styles, Riddle got some late help from the Viking Raiders, and Styles’ chance at clinching the victory disappeared before his very eyes.

Styles and Riddle went all out for this bout, though “The Original Bro” was slowed by an injured ankle. Still, Riddle flipped Styles into the corner and landed some stiff kicks and body blows. But by attacking Riddle’s wounded ankle, Styles took control. With Styles’ partner Omos watching from the side, Riddle was rarely safe, as the gigantic superstar occasionally tried to get his hands on the former WWE United States Champion.

As the match began to come to a close, Riddle dropped Styles with a DDT. When Styles dodged a moonsault, Riddle landed on his wounded foot and immediately fell to the ground in pain. Styles attempted to capitalize and put Riddle down, but “The Original Bro” was able to kick out of a pin attempt. “The Phenomenal One” tried to hit the Styles Clash on Riddle, but with Omos distracted by the Viking Raiders’ sudden appearance, Riddle was able to avoid the move and quickly pull down Styles for the quick pin and win.
