The WWE ThunderDome era is coming to a close.
In July, WWE is returning to the road with a tour that will bring the company’s live shows to numerous cities for the first time since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. The beginning of this tour will signal the end of WWE’s time in the ThunderDome, and fans can now circle the specific date for this change on the calendar.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports that WWE’s last live show in the ThunderDome will be on July 9 for a taping of SmackDown. The company will then tape the July 12 episode of WWE RAW ahead of time. Later that week, WWE will kick off its live tour with SmackDown at the Toyata Center in Houston, Texas on July 16.
