The leader of Cenation is itching for a comeback.
16-time WWE World Champion John Cena recently appeared on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” and confirmed that we haven’t seen the last of him inside of a WWE ring.
“Those rumors are true. I’ll definitely be back to WWE, I just don’t know when,” Cena confirmed when speaking about the rumors of him potentially returning at this year’s SummerSlam pay-per-view.
When speaking about the random WWE logo he posted on Instagram back in May, Cena explained how it doesn’t necessarily mean his return is imminent but it will happen.
“I posted [the photo] back in May and was feeling rather nostalgic about WWE and I wanted to post the logo. Some people took it as I was returning immediately, which is not the case. I haven’t had my last match and I can’t wait to have my next one.”

Cena hasn’t been seen on WWE programming since losing to Bray Wyatt in a ‘Firefly Funhouse’ match at WrestleMania 36 in April 2020.
