John Cena’s ‘Peacemaker’ Filming Schedule End Date, How It Affects Potential Return To WWE

It appears as if John Cena will be available when WWE returns to live crowds on July 16.

According to PWInsider, the 16-time WWE Champion is set to wrap up filming for his upcoming HBO Max series ‘Peacemaker’ on July 6.

That date lines up with him potentially being available for when WWE returns to live crowds on July 16 ahead of the company’s Money In The Bank pay-per-view event on July 18.

The 44-year old last appeared on WWE television when he lost to Bray Wyatt in a Firefly Funhouse match during night two of WrestleMania 36 in April 2020 but the future Hall of Famer did notably miss WrestleMania 37 which was the first time the company’s biggest show of the year didn’t feature Cena since 2003 for WrestleMania 19.

At the time of this writing, Cena’s WWE return is still a rumor but the production date is finalized, unless there’s an unforeseen delay in shooting. This doesn’t necessarily mean that there’s plans in place for Cena’s return to WWE but it appears as if he will indeed be available for a potential return.
