Lucha Libre Worldwide AAA, also known as AAA, returned to the spotlight with its Rey De Reyes show on Saturday, May 1. Beyond a card full of exciting matches, the event featured two surprising cameos that left the wrestling world buzzing.
First, IMPACT Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo appeared and challenged Faby Apache, the newly crowned Reina de Reinas Champion, to a title vs. title match at TripleMania. “The Virtuosa” also attacked her future opponent to send her a message after Apache accepted the challenge. It appears that IMPACT Wrestling might have another belt collector on its hands.

Then, at the end of the night, former WWE star Andrade challenged Kenny Omega to put his AAA Mega Championship on the line in a match at TripleMania. Omega’s status as both the AEW World Champion and the unified IMPACT World Champion adds even more weight to this match, assuming he accepts Andrade’s proposal.

Andrade is set to compete for the first time since his WWE release in June. His departure from WWE didn’t come with a 90-day non-compete clause, so he’s free to reenter the wrestling world.
