Apollo Crews now reigns supreme as the WWE Intercontinental Champion.
At WWE WrestleMania 37 Night Two, Big E and Crews made history on Sunday when they competed in a Nigerian Drum Fight for the title. Big E defended the gold against Crews in this new stipulation match that saw both men quickly acquire kendo sticks before caning each other. The match continued to escalate, as Big E hit his classic apron spear and Crews slammed the champion onto the apron.
Crews tried to slam the stairs onto Big E, but the champion moved. He then suplexed Crews onto the steps to punish his opponent. Crews rallied, but he crashed through a table when Big E dodged a frog splash. In the end, a massive man, who some viewers recognized as Babatunde, attacked Big E. The newcomer helped Crews win the match and the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
