WWE Announces Deal To Air Weekly Programming In Finland

WWE continues to globally expand their brand.

The company announced that they’ve reached a deal with the Finland-based broadcasting company MTV Oy to air one-hour weekly editions of WWE RAW and WWE SmackDown on MTV Oy’s free-to-air channel SUB.

Beginning tonight, SUB will air one-hour editions of WWE RAW on Friday nights and WWE SmackDown on Saturday nights over the course of 52 weeks per year.

English voiceover will be available along with Finnish subtitles, according to MTV Oy.

STAMFORD, Conn., April 9, 2021 – WWE (NYSE: WWE) and MTV Oy today announced a new partnership to broadcast highlights of WWE’s flagship programs Raw® and SmackDown® on free-to-air television for the first time in Finland.

Beginning tonight, a one-hour version of Raw will be broadcast each Friday night and a one-hour version of SmackDown will air each Saturday night on MTV Oy’s free-to-air channel SUB. The weekly programming will air 52 weeks a year with original English voiceover and Finnish Subtitles.
