“The All Mighty” Bobby Lashley was indeed just that to his son the Tuesday after the RAW when the newly crowned WWE Champion picked his boy up from school…with title in hand.
Lashley was on the horn with Ben McCully of 97.7 Max FM out of Canada and shared how his son was completely unaware that his dad had a WWE Championship match the night before, or let alone that the new champion was giving him a ride home from school.
“I tried to keep it from him at first cause RAW’s on Monday Night and usually his mom usually lets him stay up for a little bit, but he has to get some rest for school and everything like that so he didn’t get to see it that night. So when I came home on Tuesday I was able to pick him up from school and he didn’t even know I had the match and then I pulled the title out and he was just like, ‘Oh God!’ He is awesome.”
Lashley touches upon several other subjects in this interview, including how “dialed in” he feels at the current moment and how he’s always up for getting back into the fight game.
