In-Ring Segment: Daniel Bryan
Michael Cole introduces Bryan. Bryan joins Cole in the ring. Cole notes that Bryan was supposed to tag with Edge against Roman Reigns and Jey Uso. Cole asks Bryan why he chose to forgo that match to go after Reigns. Bryan says no one asked him if he wanted to be in that tag match. Everyone in the back just expected Bryan to just go along with it. Bryan knows management wants Reigns vs. Edge at WrestleMania. Everyone wants to see that match, except Bryan. Bryan is going to do his best to make sure it doesn’t happen.
Bryan says you would think after winning his third Elimination Chamber him getting beat up and losing would be such a big deal. Here’s the thing, Bryan never felt more like a failure than when Edge Speared Reigns and pointed at the WrestleMania sign after he had just got pinned. Bryan says he doesn’t have much ambition, but he lives for wrestling. Bryan tried to focus on helping everyone else level up, but Bryan isn’t putting himself on the back burner ever again. Bryan says in the past three weeks he’s wrestled more than Edge and Reigns combined.
Bryan knows what he can be and what he can be is the absolute best. Bryan has to go on to WrestleMania and beat Reigns. This may be his last chance. Reigns, Uso, and Heyman interrupt. After the break, Reigns says Bryan claims to be driven now, but there is no way. Bryan is just an underdog. He isn’t ambitious. Guys like Reigns are ambitious. Reigns says Bryan doesn’t love wrestling. He needs wrestling. Reigns says he loves this business. He doesn’t need it. Reigns does it because everyone needs him. Everyone, including Bryan. Uso gets in Bryan’s face and tells him to worry about him and not the Universal Championship. Uso tries a cheap shot but Bryan bests him.
