Pete Dunne made his way out to the ring during tonight’s episode of NXT to call out Finn Balor. However, instead the two superstars were surprised by Edge, who made his way out to the ring and teased the possibility of facing off against the winner of Balor and Dunne’s now confirmed NXT Championship match at NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day.
After Balor came out to meet Dunne in the ring, the two briefly began jawing back and forth before Edge interrupted them. In the ring, the Rated-R superstar said that he respects both Balor and Dunne and sees himself in both of them. He then said that as the winner of the Royal Rumble, he’ll be watching their upcoming title match very closely, as he’s able to challenge any champion he pleases. Needless to say, Balor and Dunne’s title match at TakeOver is now even bigger, with WrestleMania potential hanging in the balance now.
