Jim Johnston isn’t sure what criteria he needs to get into the WWE Hall Of Fame, but he knows what isn’t keeping him from being inducted.
Johnston was a recent guest on Kiwi Talkz and addressed the rumor that he’s not in the WWE Hall Of Fame because he suffers from stage fright.
“No. If I said no, it would be because of getting fired, not because of stage fright. From my perspective, it’s one of those weird things where you’re of very differing, conflicting views on something. On a practical level and getting outside of myself, it is bizarre that I haven’t been asked. I mean, it’s like I have to ask, ‘OK, exactly what do you have to accomplish to get in?’”
The host noted that other inductees included Drew Carey and Sylvester Stallone, and although they are celebrity wing Hall Of Famers, he isn’t sure what the criteria is either. Johnston agreed, noting that he isn’t sure either, but he pondered why he’d get into a Hall Of Fame after being fired by the same company that operates it.
“No, I don’t think anybody does. But at the same time, I’ve got the emotional part which is, ‘wait a second, where are we?’ You decided to boot my ass out the door and now you’re saying ‘we want you in the Hall of Fame?’ So, make up your mind.”
