Check out the results of tonight’s 205 Live below:
August Grey defeats Ariya Daivari via pinfall
In a match between two up and coming superstars in 205 Live, it was Grey who took down Daivari to secure a big win. Late in the match, Ariya hit a huge uranage on Grey for his third straight near fall, but just couldn’t put Grey away no matter how hard he tried. After breaking out of the third pin attempt, Grey quickly countered Daivari’s attempt of the Hammerlock Lariat into his own variation of the Unprettier, which was enough to drop Daivari and give Grey the surprising win.
Curt Stallion defeats Raul Mendoza via pinfall
In a big match that saw NXT Cruiserweight Champion hopeful Curt Stallion go up against Santos Escobar’s right-hand man Raul Mendoza, it was Stallion who came out on top, sending a huge message to Escobar in the process. Late in the match, Stallion was able to survive a big sunset flip from Mendoza, countering a Driver attempt from Raul into a pin that gave him the win. After the match, Stallion fought off Legado del Fantasma for a moment before they overcame him and assaulted him in the middle of the ring, leaving him incapacitated and too weak to do anything as Santos Escobar came to the ring to stare down at Stallion.
