Tom Lawlor spoke with WrestleZone’s Dominic DeAngelo about The MLW Restart taking place on November 18 and gives his account of it from an in-ring perspective. Lawlor lights up the episode with some Team Filthy fire regarding fellow members Dominic Garrini & Kevin Ku.
“I have no bones about saying I think the Team Filthy that you’re going to see at The Restart is the best version that we’ve had so far, you know? The stuff that we did, I thought about it, and I’m almost positive that it’s the best stuff that I’ve done in MLW so and Dom and Kevin were both huge parts of that.”
Tom was asked about his treacherous turn against Ross & Marshall Von Erich in 2019 and if that has been his favorite run so far with the promotion, but Lawlor reiterates that he’s pretty damn pleased with what he’s done during these “uncertain times.”
“To be honest, it probably would’ve been but this whole—the pandemic screwed it up, you know what I mean? I felt like we were really getting into a good swing of things and then all this stuff hit so like I said, I mean, I think the stuff we just did is my favorite stuff, to be honest. I think think it’s the best stuff I did in MLW, I think it’s the best stuff that Team Filthy’s done. That’s it. That’s the answer. I mean I was the MLW Champion. I won the Battle Riot, great memories, I had a lot of fun doing that stuff, but I’m telling you, I was really happy with what we just did.”
