Tommy Dreamer is with Scott D’Amore and is checking in on the status of John E. Bravo as the man was shot in cold blood Mr. Burns style last week to close out the program. D’Amore tells Dreamer that Bravo is in stable but critical condition and notes his Sherlock style get-up. Dreamer says he is opening up an investigation and “everyone is a suspect.”
To start the in-ring action it’s Deonna Purrazzo without her recently lost Knockouts Title and tonight she is getting her rematch.
MATCH 1
Knockouts Women Title Rematch
Deonna Purrazzo (with Kimber Lee) vs. Su Yung (c)
Su immediately goes for the claw, but the two fight it out instead. Su spins her into a Panic Switch attempt but Deonna rolls free. Su tosses Deonna around from turnbuckle to turnbuckle. Su goes for the claw once more, but Purrazzo stops her and slams Su down. Arm scissors hold on Su and Deonna wrenches her wrist back to stomp on it. Really focuses on the arm now.
Hard lariat by Su and then a Lou Thesz press. Palm strike back and forth at the ropes by Su until the two double clothesline one another down.
Both get to their feet and Deonna goes for a cradle piledriver. Su rolls free and locks in the mandible claw. Kimber Lee slides the chair in the ring and it gives Su pause. She grabs the chair and she and Deonna fight over it. Su jabs her in the gut and it causes the ref to call for the bell.
WINNER via DQ: Deonna Purrazzo
STILL Knockouts Champion: Su Yung
Post-match, Su clears house with the chair.
D’Amore is with Rhino and Heath. He praises Rhino for his efforts and asks if Heath is healthy. He says he’s good and is ready to sign the contract, but Scott wants to make sure that Heath is a-okay. D’Amore isn’t so confident and says once Heath gets healthy, they’ll ink the deal Heath wants. Heath ain’t too pleased and he and Rhino exit. In comes Barrister Artie Evans for Deonna who makes clear that his client was screwed out of her title rematch tonight. Scott says he concedes: Deonna will get her Knockouts Title rematch at Turning Point and guess what? Anything goes, no DQ. Evans also exits uncertain as he leaves as D’Amore relishes in Evans’ unease.
We cut to Eddie Edwards and Rich Swann. They’re pumped to join forces tonight against their adversaries in Sami Callihan and Eric Young
MATCH 2
Chris Bey vs. Trey Miguel
Bey and Miguel lock up and jock for position with arm wrenches. Bey levels Trey down but a fireman’s carry into an armbreaker frees Miguel up. Hard chop by Trey followed by a massive handspring leads the two on their feet. Trey tosses Bey on his tailbone but Bey turns it into a head scissors. There’s some arm drags happening. Bey soon traps Trey in the corner and chokes him. Trey rolls Bey down for a moonsault and a kick out at two. Bey rolls through a sunset flip but Trey hits a dropkick that sends Bey outside. Action continues on the apron after Bey trips him up and vaults himself over for an elbow drop. Two count. Eye poke by Bey evens the odds. He stomps on the back of Trey repeatedly before fully standing on his back. Trey soon kicks himself free before a swift kick to the head of Bey. Back elbow followed by a boot leads to a low dropkick and a swift reverse 619. Jumping neckbreaker by Trey. Two count. Miguel is frustrated and Trey scales the ropes. Bey crotches him on the turnbuckle and goes for a superplex. Trey goes for a sunset flip powerbomb, but Bey frees himself. Bey kicks free and then vaults off for a big cutter and the 1-2-3.
WINNER: Chris Bey
