On a call with media to promote this weekend’s Bound For Glory PPV, Josh Matthews confirmed that IMPACT and Deonna Purrazzo have come to terms on a long-term deal that will see the Women’s Champion stay with the company for the foreseeable future. Purrazzo was previously rumored to be leaving IMPACT in October, which prompted contract talks that were reported on by Fightful last month. The champ is set to defend her gold against Kylie Rae at this Saturday’s show.
Deonna confirmed the news on her own social media following the media call:
I’ve been waiting to be able to talk about this publicly!!!
I’m happy to confirm and so excited about what the future holds @IMPACTWRESTLING ❤️ https://t.co/IyYOwV68bx

Purrazzo has spoken in the past about building her own brand following her WWE exit, and that IMPACT has the tools to let her do that. Here are her own words after being asked by WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard about the opportunities that IMPACT affords her to do just that:
That is so important to me, and I think that as professional wrestlers and individuals that are looking for new opportunities to build our own brands and be successful in new avenues, IMPACT is one of the few places that lets all of its talent do that. We can explore other ventures while continuing to build ourselves as professional wrestlers. For me, that means everything, to have the security long-term as a professional wrestler but also the ability to explore other projects and explore who I am outside of wrestling as well.
