Tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown saw the beginning of the WWE Draft, and next week’s episode will act as a “season premiere” for the show, and will see a handful of superstars take part in some farewell matches before they leave for Monday Night RAW.
After being drafted once again by SmackDown, Roman Reigns will put his WWE Universal Championship on the line next week, where he’ll take on Braun Strowman in a big match. Also planned for the night is a a tag team match between The New Day and Shinsuke Nakamura & Cesaro, which will also act as a farewell match for Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods after the two were drafted to Monday Night RAW. We’re unsure what else will be happening, but with WWE branding it as a season premiere, we can likely expect some other big events.
