Sources speaking with PWInsider has confirmed that Billy Kidman was backstage at WWE at yesterday’s Friday Night SmackDown taping. He was one of the producers furloughed in April as part of a roster shakeup that saw dozens of wrestlers depart the company from both the WWE and NXT rosters. Producers who were on the chopping block were furloughed rather than fired, with decisions about their jobs delayed to a certain point in the future.
Several backstage personnel who were furloughed in April have since been fired, including Gerald Brisco and Lance Storm. Others have returned to work as WWE settles into its new normal, which is where Kidman stands.
