NXT Championship Match: Finn Bálor vs. Adam Cole
Bálor takes Cole down. Bálor locks Cole in a rear chin lock. Cole reverses it into a hammerlock. Bálor and Cole trade submissions and counters. Neither man can get an advantage. Cole manages to get a near fall off of a neck breaker. Cole works over Bálor’s neck. After the break, Cole cuts Bálor off with a jawbreaker. Cole hits the rope and walks into a stiff shot from Bálor. Bálor drops and elbow for a near fall. Bálor stomps Cole in the corner. Bálor whips Cole from corner to corner, landing a chop with each whip.
Cole fires up and boots Bálor in the face with a nasty pump kick. Cole lands an enziguri followed by a backstabber. Bálor kicks out. After a series of counters Bálor eventually lands the sling blade. Bálor tries the John Woo dropkick but Cole counters with a shining wizard. Bálor kicks out at two. Cole calls for The Last Shot. Bálor double legs Cole and immediately hits a double stomp. Bálor knocks Cole out of the ring. Bálor stomps Cole into the barricade. Bálor sits Cole in a chair for another John Woo dropkick.
Cole catches Bálor with a superkick outside the ring. After the break, Bálor misses the double stomp off the top. Cole kicks Bálor in the knee and locks a figure four. Bálor gets to the ropes to break the hold. Bálor surprises Cole with another sling blade. Final cut by Bálor. Bálor hit the John Woo kick. Bálor lands the coup de grace but Cole kicks out! Cole puts coup de grace back in a figure-four. Bálor turns it into a pin. Cole kicks out. Cole hits the Last Shot. Bálor kicks out. Bálor avoids the Panama Sunrise. Bálor hits a reverse 1916. Bálor is clutching at his knee. Bálor goes up top but is quickly cut off by Cole. Bálor hits 1916 off the top rope! Bálor pins Cole!
