Taya Valkyrie wants people to experience everything Lucha VaVOOM is for themselves.
Valkyrie recently spoke with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard about her appearance at Lucha VaVoom’s Stay-In VaVoom streaming event on Thursday, September 3. The longest-reigning IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Champion has been part of several event cards in the promotion’s history and said it’s hard to describe what the shows are but she does know it’s a one-of-a-kind experience.
“Lucha VaVOOM is one of the most unique shows and experiences that you can see live. As sad as it is that we can’t be there live with everybody, our fans in our beautiful theatre in downtown LA, this is another experience where we can get reacquainted with what Lucha VaVOOM is. It really is an experience from all of the variety of acts that go on and the cool, underground feel of it, it’s just a unique show and it’s incorporating burlesque, with Lucha libre, with comedy, and there’s always surprises—dancing, singing, you never know who is going to show up. I’m just excited that everyone’s going to get reacquainted on Thursday, September 3 with what Lucha VaVOOM is and it’s an opportunity for people that aren’t from the Los Angeles area to experience Lucha VaVOOM on their own. It can be a date night, put the kids to bed because it’s rated R. Enjoy the show, from your home.”
“There’s not one word you can use to describe what it is, and even for me as a performer, even from the first show I was backstage with everyone, like this is such an ecclectic, cool and different vibe and such an interesting group of people, and that’s what it is. It’s this mish-mosh of all of this underground entertainment and it’s unique, I hope that sooner than later we’re back in downtown LA in front of everybody.”
Valkyrie added that it’s been a rough couple of months for everyone across the world, especially in entertainment, so she recommends people just take a night and watch Lucha VaVoom, whether it’s their first event or the most recent.
