The return of the NXT UK also signals the return for a performer that was furloughed due to the global Coronavirus pandemic.
According to a new report by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Nigel McGuinness, who was doing commentary for both NXT and NXT UK, was furloughed by WWE on Wednesday, April 15th, 2020, will return to commentary for NXT UK at their new tapings in the BT Sport studios in London, England.
Wednesday, April 15th was the same day that performers like Rusev, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson were released.
Over in NXT, another commentary shakeup occurred when Mauro Ranallo was announced to be amicably splitting from WWE. Currently, the commentary team is Vic Joseph, somebody who’s worked with Nigel McGuinness on commentary for WWE 205 Live, Beth Phoenix, and the returning Wade Barrett.
