The Miz says Daniel Bryan won’t be writing his lines any time soon but the “Yes Man” certainly can help make SmackDown a better show.
Miz was a recent guest on In The Kliq with Baby Huey on 107.7 The Bone in San Francisco to promote his new hit game show Cannonball on USA Network. Miz and co-host Rocsi Diaz discussed what’s it like working together, which WWE Superstar would perform well in the water challenges, The Miz’s musical talent and much more.
The Miz was also asked about how much longer he wants to compete in the WWE as a full-time wrestler before he devotes more time to outside interests like Cannonball. Miz said as long as it’s still fun and he can be there for his kids as much as they need him, he’ll be in WWE.
“As long as I’m having fun, I’m going to keep doing what I’m doing. As long as I’m able to give my girls Monroe and Madison the time that they need and deserve, as long as they feel the love from me then I’m all good. That’s what it’s all about—it’s all about my family and they come first,” The Miz said. “As much as I work and everything like that, I just want to make sure my girls know that I’m here. I don’t want to be a dad that’s always away. I wan’t to be a dad that’s there to guide them and help them with everything they need.”
Miz was also asked about the reports of fellow WWE Superstar (and constant nemesis) Daniel Bryan serving as a writer for Friday Night SmackDown. Miz said he’s not really sure about that and Bryan won’t be writing for him anytime soon, but he’s certainly got a great mind and would make SmackDown better if that’s the case.
“He won’t be writing for me, I’ll tell you that for one thing. There’s no denying Daniel Bryan’s talent. Do I get along with him? Absolutely not. Will I listen to his writing inquiries? Sure. Will I do them? Probably not. But honestly, Daniel Bryan is a brain. He knows exactly—look how big he became. It’s because of me mostly,” The Miz said, “but he’s a very good talent in WWE. I think if he wants to—I haven’t heard that, so I don’t know exactly what he’s doing but if he is, he’s an immense talent and he’s got a brain for the show so he will make it better, as much as it hurts me to say that.”
