Triple H participated in a media call at the conclusion of NXT TakeOver: XXX and the first question he was asked was about Pat McAfee and his future with WWE.
Triple H is confident that Pat McAfee was happy with his match and will want to continue performing in the ring later down the road. Triple H said, “Pat told me that he wants to be a weapon for me and he has every intention to be a NXT star and eventually a WWE star. Pat has a lot of commitments so we’ll see where it goes. He has the charisma to get over and be a heat magnet and I am here to help McAfee in the future. McAfee silenced a lot of the “ugh, celebrities” critics. He’s very serious about this.”
He also praised Adam Cole for successfully working a match with someone who has never had a match before without complaining. He called Adam a true locker room leader.
Triple H also talked about Karrion Kross sustaining an injury and addressed the Velveteen Dream situation.
