AJ Kirsch & MLW Get Noted In Today’s Wall Street Journal
It’s not everyday a pro wrestler and their promotion gets noted in the Wall Street Journal, but AJ Kirsch and MLW certainly received some publicity today. A feature piece in Monday’s edition of the publication talks about how a lot of people have been live-streaming as an extra source of income during these halted times of the COVID-19 pandemic. Kirsch gets some of the spotlight for “workout at home” Twitch channel he does as his alter ego “Broseph Joe Brody” every Monday, Wednesday & Friday.
While instructing people on how to exercise without fitness equipment on Twitch, A.J. Kirsch will often appear as “Brospeh Joe Brody,” an obnoxious wrestling personality. With wrestling matches halted for now, the commentator for Major League Wrestling has been live-streaming three days a week since March from his home in Berkley, Calif.
The broadcasts average about 15 to 25 viewers regularly. Mr. Kirsch said he averages about $250 a month from subscriptions to his Twitch channel, plus anywhere from $20 to $100 per episode in tips via payment apps like PayPal.
