The ongoing revelations on social media now known as the #SpeakingOut movement have implicated many British wrestlers, and we’re starting to see the fallout as organizations release statements about the talent they’ve worked with. PROGRESS, one of the premier British wrestling promotions, has fired two workers and suspended three more in a statement released this morning:
Further to our statement made earlier today, here is an update regarding specific allegations and current roster members:
David Starr – will no longer be working for PROGRESS
Marc ‘Paz’ Parry – will no longer be working for PROGRESS
Travis Banks – will be suspended indefinitely
Jordan Devlin – will be suspended indefinitely // the tag titles have been vacated
Scotty Davis – will be suspended indefinitely // the tag titles have been vacated
We take these allegations extremely seriously. Those under suspension will have their situation reviewed periodically between now, and events starting again.
We continue to monitor and listen to the Speaking Out movement so that we can take appropriate action where necessary.
David Starr came out today with a statement that comes close to admitting to his own wrongdoing. None of the other talents have spoken on the matter as of yet. WWE has released a statement vowing to investigate the case of Jordan Devlin, who is also the current NXT Cruiserweight Champion.
