If you caught last night’s WWE Friday Night SmackDown, then you would’ve have seen both active members of The New Day in Big E and Kofi Kingston take a knee and hold a fist up in the center of the ring.
Big E, Kofi and other New Day member in Xavier Woods are just coming off the audio of what was a very emotional and powerful podcast episode of Feel The Power where all three along with Andreas Hale of Sporting News discuss racial injustice. The SmackDown Tag Team Champions wanted to make known that that emotion wasn’t out of their heads as they took center stage on SmackDown. Not only did the two take that knee of solidarity, but they wore black arm bands to seek justice for the lives of Shukri Yayhe-Abdi, Tamla Horsford & Breonna Taylor, all three African American women who were killed. Big E shared the following photo of he and Kofi on his Instagram:
The two took on Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura in tag action and they were pinned in an effort to possibily further a tag title shot for the heels, something that couold happen as soon as Backlash.
