Oh no, Ohno. The longtime indie veteran and NXT workhorse Kassius Ohno may be on the outs with WWE for the second time. Sources including Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer are reporting that he was among the cuts this week that stretched across the company’s talent pool, one of six purported names in NXT that are now gone.
Known outside of the black and gold brand as Chris Hero, Kassius has changed his Twitter handle to WWE Alumni. That may be referencing earlier this week when his profile was moved to the Alumni section of WWE.com. It’s unclear if Ohno is confirming the report or just having a little fun with it, but WrestleZone has reached out for clarification on his status. We have not received a reply at press time but will update if a response is given.
Considering his past actions and his recent resurgence in NXT UK, he’d likely have one more run on the indie circuit left in him when the indie circuit resumes normal operations.
