Best of Five Series Finals: Michael Elgin vs. Eddie Edwards
Elgin hits a nasty clothesline for a near fall. Elgin and Edwards fight to the outside. Elgin DVDs Edwards on the ramp. Elgin only gets a two count. Edwards responds with a blue thunder bomb for a near fall. Elgin puts Edwards on the top rope. Edwards turns Elgin’s avalanche Samoan drop into a sunset bomb off the top. After the break, Elgin tries to DVD Edwards fights his way out of Elgin’s DVD attempt on the apron. Elgin hits a modified F5. Edwards kicks out. Elgin dumps Edwards over the top rope. Elgin brings Edwards back into the ring. Neckbreaker by Elgin. Elgin and Edwards trade strikes. Edwards splashes Elgin in the corner. Edwards tries another splash but Elgin counters with an uranage. Elgin manages another near fall after an electric chair suplex.
Elgin dragon suplexes Edwards off the top. Edwards kicks out, Elgin buckle bombs Edwards but Edwards explodes out of the corner with a lariat. Edwards powerbombs Elgin. Edwards crushes Elgin with a tiger bomb. Elgin kicks out. Elgin powerbombs Edwards. Elgin hits a lariat followed by the Elgin Bomb. Edwards somehow kicks out. Elgin tries the Burning Hammer. Edwards escapes. The referee takes a bump. Edwards finally catches Elgin with the Boston Knee Party. A second referee runs down to the ring to make the count. Elgin kicks out at 2.5. Edwards tries to lift Elgin off the mat but can’t. Elgin puts Edwards in the crossface. Edwards rolls over into a pin but Elgin doesn’t release the submission. Edwards taps out as the referee counts Elgin’s shoulders down.
Winner??
The referees argue over who the winner is. Tessa Blanchard walks out on the stage and says she will fight them both at the PPV.
