NXT Championship: Matt Riddle vs. Adam Cole

Cole comes to the ring without his Undisputed Era stablemates. Riddle takes the champion to the mat but Cole escapes the armbar. Riddle suplexes Cole three times. Some stiff kicks drop the champion and send him to the outside. Cole rocks Riddle with a kick of his own and sends him into the steel steps. A neckbreaker takes Riddle down again. Cole dodges a kick and plants Riddle with a backbreaker. The champion grounds Riddle and floors him with a bicycle kick. Riddle fires back with a series of strikes and some running forearm smashes. A running senton and a stiff kick earns Riddle a two count.

Cole counters a powerbomb but Riddle nails him with a knee to the head. A Fisherman-buster and a German suplex get Riddle another two count. Cole hits a mid-air backstabber for a near fall. Cole and Riddle exchange strikes, the champion stomps Riddle’s foot, the challenger kicks Cole’s injured hand, both men exchange stiff kicks and Cole gets a near fall after another neckbreaker. A kick to the head drops Cole but he returns the favor with a bicycle kick. Riddle hits a mid-air knee to the head but Cole counters a moonsault. Panama Sunrise gets Cole a near fall. Cole goes for the Last Shot but Riddle collapses. Riddle counters Panama Sunrise into the Bro to Sleep before he hits a powerbomb and a knee to the head. A Floating Bro earns Riddle a near fall. Cole nails two superkicks and another Panama Sunrise. Riddle dodges Last Shot and locks Riddle in the Bromission. Cole reverses it into a pin attempt. Riddle locks in the Fujiwara armbar on Cole’s injured arm and switches arms.

Cole hits Riddle in the face with his cast and pins him after the Last Shot.

Winner and still NXT Champion: Adam Cole

As Cole celebrates, Finn Bálor walks onto the stage and comes to the ring. He grabs a microphone and says he is NXT. He stares down Cole, who leaves the ring.

A video package previews the NXT Women’s Championship match between Candice LeRae and Shayna Baszler. Backstage, both women prepare for their match.

The Velveteen Dream, on a couch, rolls onto the stage. He asks his associates if they feel it. He says they’re feeling the Velveteen Dream experience. He calls success in the ring climax of life. He says Roderick Strong and the Undisputed Era tried to steal it. Dream says he’s not afraid of taking on more than one man at once. Dream challenges Strong for the NXT North American Championship and says “dream over.”

Mauro Ranallo announces next week’s WWE Cruiserweight Championship match between Drew Gulak and Lio Rush and a video package hypes it up.

Io Shirai vs. Mia Yim

Shirai slaps away a handshake and Yim takes her down with arm drags and a boot to the head. A baseball slide dropkick gives Yim all the momentum. Yim chops Shirai twice but Shirai takes control and stomps away on Yim. Shirai tosses Yim by the hair twice and continues to ground her. Shirai hits a snap suplex and locks in an abdominal stretch. A Dragon Screw legwhip and a dropkick allows Shirai to maintain control. Shirai hits a flapjack but Yim hits her with an overhead belly-to-belly throw. Yim hits a series of strikes and a basement dropkicks gets her a two count. A hurricanrana gets Shirai a two count of her own. Shirai hits a Tiger Feint Kick and a springboard kick for a two count.

Yim hits Code Blue for a near fall. A suicide takes Shirai down. Shirai tries to grab Yim’s tights during a pin but the referee catches it. Yim hits a jawbreaker but Shirai plants her with a superplex for a two count. A stiff kick drops Yim. Shirai nails a moonsault for the win.

Winner: Io Shirai

The camera shows WWE Hall of Famers Scott Hall and Kevin Nash sitting at ringside. A video clip shows the Street Profits arriving and another video package recaps Tegan Knox’s recovery from her injury.
