CM Punk was a guest on The Kevin & Bean Show on KROQ this morning and discussed a number of interesting topics. This included him potentially being on FS1’s WWE talk show (to which he said “You mean to tell me you’d watch a show where I talk about wrestling?”) and possibly returning to the pro wrestling ring.
As far as a WWE return goes, Punk says that it has “taken on a life of its own” due to online rumors and asked fans not to be mad at him if nothing happens. He did address SmackDown’s FOX premiere and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson appearing. “Remember the last time The Rock was in the Staples Center?” said Punk. “Let’s do it again. When is this show, next Friday? Dwayne, call me Friday.”
Those hoping for a return will be disappointed to find out that Punk doesn’t really miss wrestling. However, he did say he misses performing. He said he appreciated telling a story inside a ring and that there is satisfaction in being able to “read a crowd and give them what you think they want, and not necessarily give the crowd what they want, because as a performer you almost have to be objective.”
