NJPW is headed to Dallas, TX for the first night of the 29th annual G1 Climax. This marks the first time the G1 Climax has kicked off outside of Japan. The show is set to air LIVE on AXS TV at 6pm ET.

Lance Archer Talks G1, Ospreay, More
WrestleZone’s Dominic DeAngelo recently spoke with former IWGP Tag Team Champion Lance Archer recently, discussing competing in this year’s G1 Climax, including the opening night in his home state of Texas.
Archer will face Will Ospreay, a rematch from this year’s New Japan Cup. Archer spoke about how facing The Sky King opened a lot of people’s eyes to what he can do in a singles match.

“It’s always funny to me because I know what I can do, but I think there’s a lot of people who don’t and when Will and I were able to go out and produce the match that we did, there seemed to be a lot of people – Will is kind of on a hot streak right now. He’s on fire. He’s been very visible in a singles situation for the last year or so for sure. Where as I hadn’t been so when he and I had a match that we had, people were like, ‘Wait a second, Lance can do that. Okay, cool.’”
