Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer is reporting via the latest episode of “Wrestling Observer Radio” with Bryan Alvarez that Jon Moxley isn’t on the G1 Climax show in Dallas because it’s a NJPW show running in the United States.
According to Meltzer, Moxley (like Chris Jericho) has an exclusive deal to work in the United States with All Elite Wrestling which is why he was never advertised for the G1 show. It was announced yesterday by New Japan that Moxley was not going to participate for the show hailing out of The Lone Star State. Moxley is placed in the B Block of the tournament which will only contain matches taking place in Japan. In addition, Moxley won’t be partaking in the undercard tag matches because of those circumstances. As of right now, Moxley, Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega will not be on any New Japan shows running out of the United States.
