Rumor Killer On Gedo’s Status With New Japan Pro-Wrestling

Earlier today a rumor began circulating that indicated Gedo stepped down as the booker for New Japan Pro-Wrestling. According to a report from Uproxx, With Spandex reached out to NJPW sources for comment, who denied that Gedo had stepped down. The source described it as “a crazy rumor.”

Gedo has been working behind-the-scenes with NJPW for the better part of a decade. He took over as head booker for NJPW in 2015. Gedo debuted as a professional wrestler in 1989 and performed for promotions such as WAR, FMW, and NJPW. He served as the manager for Kazuchika Okada from 2012-2018 and has managed Jay White from 2018 to present day.
