Tonight’s SmackDown Live kicked off with a special Miz TV, with special guests Shane McMahon, Drew McIntyre, and Elias. With the trio of superstars essentially forcing their way onto the show, Shane McMahon spent a majority of his time bragging about his victory over Roman Reigns at WWE Super ShowDown.

With McIntyre looking on, the group watched a video of cut to Roman Reigns after their match, where he discussed losing to McIntyre and McMahon and vowed to have revenge on the pair. As The Miz attempted to convince McIntyre that McMahon would eventually betray him, McMahon and Miz began trading insults, which led to McMahon challenging him to a match, if he could defeat Elias and McIntyre first.
During the match, Elias looked to be in control for most of the match, but after missing an elbow drop and taking a rough landing, it was Miz’s turn to capitalize. After the miss, Miz was able to land a Skull Crushing Finale on Elias, pinning him for the win and sending McIntyre into the ring. Unfortunately for Miz, McIntyre was able to take down him down relatively easy, and dispatched him with a Claymore.
After the win, McMahon stepped back into the ring and said that even though Miz had lost the match, he would give him the match. With The Miz visibly exhausted from the last two matches, McMahon was able to get him to tap out with a submission very easily.
